Push and campaigns
Push sends a message to the phones of shoppers who installed the app and said yes to notifications. A campaign is a push message with a plan: a time, a repeat, or a test.
Status: on by default on Standard and Enterprise. Without a plan you cannot send. Standard allows up to 50,000 messages a month. Enterprise has no monthly cap. Sending needs the phone keys for Apple and Google. See Publishing to stores.
Compose a message#
- Open Push.
- Write the title and the text.
- Pick the audience. You can use a segment or all shoppers.
- Pick where the message opens in the app.
- Save, schedule or send.
Schedules#
- Send now, or Schedule for a time you pick.
- Times use your shop's time zone.
- Repeat can be daily, weekly (choose the days) or a cron pattern. Monthly is not a choice. Use a cron pattern for that.
A recurring campaign cannot also be an A/B test.
A/B tests#
- Add 2 to 8 versions of the message. Version A is the one you wrote first.
- Set winner rules. These rules decide how the winner is picked.
- Pick the winner using those rules.
Limit: once you save an A/B test through the app, it cannot be turned off. Plan the test before you save it.
AI copy suggestions#
Enter a goal, then use the AI suggestion button. The app proposes title and text. Each suggestion uses monthly credits. The credits are shared with the AI assistant.
Limits that protect shoppers#
- Frequency caps limit how many messages one phone gets.
- Quiet hours hold messages at night.
- A message is not sent to a phone that has not said yes to notifications.
- Messages that fail a check are held or dropped. The campaign page shows the reason.
Approvals#
Some actions wait for a second person. These are:
- scheduling or sending a campaign
- changing a repeat schedule
- creating a store release
- publishing a version
A waiting action shows a banner with a link to Approvals. See Team and roles.
Campaign list#
The Campaigns page lists sent, scheduled and draft campaigns. Open one to see its details.
