Games

Games are free promotions inside the app. Shoppers spin a wheel, scratch a card or open a box. Some win a discount code.

Status: off by default. Plan: Enterprise only. Turn on the games switch after you create a game and add its codes.

Rules that keep games free#

Shoppers never pay to play. No purchase, points spend or other payment is needed.
Prizes are discount codes. Prizes are not cash or gift cards.
You set the odds and the prize list.
Free prize draws can fall under local promotion or lottery rules. You are responsible for the terms you publish.

Set up a game#

Open Games and press New.
Add prizes and set the weight of each one. A higher weight wins more often.
For each code prize, add discount codes. You create the codes in Shopify first. The app does not create discount codes for you.
Set limits per device and per customer. Choose the period: lifetime, day or week.
Set the start and end dates. Save.

How a prize is given#

Each code is given out once.
A prize with no codes left, or no stock left, drops out of the draw.
The result is decided on the server. The phone only shows the animation.

Stats#

The game page shows plays and prize counts.

Note on sample data#

In the build as it stands, the prize stock and win counts in the admin page were tested with sample data. Check the counts against your Shopify codes before you run a big promotion.
