Appointments and registries

Appointments let shoppers book a time slot. Registries are gift lists that shoppers share with friends and family.

Status: both are off by default. Turn on the appointments switch or the gift registry switch after you add slots or check the registry setup.

Appointments#

Used by the Aurelia template, for example for private viewings.

1. Open Appointments.
2. Add slots with a day, a start time and a number of seats.
3. Shoppers pick a day and a time, and give their name and contact details.
4. Each slot holds the number of bookings you set. A slot cannot be overbooked.
5. Cancelling a slot also cancels all its bookings. You cannot cancel one booking on its own yet.

Limits:

• The app does not send confirmation emails or reminders. Tell customers by your usual method.
• Times are shown on the shopper's phone time zone. Slots do not carry their own time zone.

Gift registries#

Used by the Playroom template, when the registry switch is on.

• A shopper creates a registry and adds products.
• The shopper shares a link. Friends see the first name of the owner and the list.
• A friend can mark an item as bought. This is on trust. It is not checked against Shopify orders.
• The owner gets a private key when the registry is made. It is shown once. It is needed to edit the list.

Limits:

• Losing the key means making a new registry. On Android the key does not survive a reinstall.
• Purchases on a registry are not matched to Shopify orders.

Admin view#

The Registries page lists registries. It does not yet open a single registry. The Appointments page shows slots on a day-by-day calendar, lets you add slots, and lists bookings.
